ABOUT WKI KENWORTH
Roy opened Adams Auto Service in the early 50’s and opened Mack Truck Sales as a partial owner in the late 50’s. Roy sold his share in Mack and started Wichita Kenworth Inc. in 1971 with Forrest King and partners with a total of three employees. By 1980 they had opened Dodge City Kenworth and in 1983 Roy Adams took full ownership of the company. Having started working for the Company in 1975 Cliff Adams took over Wichita Kenworth Inc. from Roy in 1991 after having worked his way up from head janitor.
Successfully building on his father’s business, Cliff opened Liberal Kenworth in 1998 and Emporia Kenworth in 2009. Cliff’s son, Brad Adams, went to work for the company in 1998 detailing trucks. Now, having worked his way up through the company, Brad became Vice President in 2018 and continues to grow the business today. The Adams family is now three generations strong with over 50 years of experience as a Kenworth dealer.
Receiving these awards stands as a genuine acheivement and a tribute to the dedicated and hardworking eindivduals who shape the essence of our dealership.
WKI Kenworth has garnered Gold Awards in 2023, 2022, 2020, and 2018, along with Silver Awards in 2021 and 2019. The Gold Awards signify the pinnacle of excellence in Parts, Service, Truck Sales, and Paclease as for 2023 only 10 out of 71 dealerships stood out among the rest.
Continuing this legacy of excellence, we have clinched the Gold Award and Paccar Engine Dealer of the Year for our outstanding performance in 2022. Furthermore, we have been honored with the Paccar MX Engine Support Dealer of the Year in both 2022 and 2020. These recognitions underscores our unwavering commitment and exceptional support we extend to our customers across all areas.
